Hays Resources & Mining: Metallurgist

A successful south Australian mining company, with a strong support from an international commodities trader and large projects secured, is requiring a Metallurgist to work on a Mineral Sand mine site in South Australia.
Your duties will include: carrying out research, controlling and developing processes used in extracting minerals from ores for refining metals, applying physical and chemical methods to separate valuable minerals from the ore. You will be expected to provide process inputs during the design, construction and commissioning phase of projects.

In order to apply for this role you should hold a tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, whilst having exposure to a metallurgical processing plant and Hazardous Substance training. You should also be a team player, both practical and adaptable, and have attention to detail whilst being able to work autonomously.
