Senior Mining Engineer - UG coal

Our client is offering an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Mining Engineer with at least 4 years experience to take their career to the next level. This organisation has recently began production at their new underground operation in an ideal overseas location. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your key accountabilities will encompass the following:

* Ensure the sites planning, scheduling and production objectives are met
* Encourage a safe workplace environment by promoting the companies safety standards and procedures.
* Provide technical assistance and advice to the Mine Manager and other senior personnel, and ensure best practice technical services to the site.
* Lead and develop the site’s technology plan to improve methods and practices.
* Assist in the management of gas drainage and ventilation.

To be considered for this opportunity, it is pertinent that applicants can demonstrate the following:
* Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering.
* At least 4 years experience in underground coal mining
* A team player with well developed interpersonal and communication skills, to enable effective interaction with mine site production personnel and other departments.
* A strong commitment to high safety, health and environment workplace standards.
