Our client, one of Australia’s leading companies operating in the mining industry is seeking a Technical Services Superintendent for one of their overseas operations. This opportunity will give you overseas experience set in a family friendly environment, close to the coast.
If you are a dynamic individual with extensive open cut mining experience in the Technical Services Department this is the opportunity for you.
Individuals that have no experience at such level that are seeking to take the step up into a superintendent role, are encouraged to apply.
Reporting to the site Project Manager, your duties will include but not limited to managing the Tech Services department at the site, resolving technical issues as they arise, project reporting and budgeting. As you are required to oversee the whole department, you will be required to liaise with sub-contractors onsite, including being responsible for the blasting activities as well as provide timely advice to the Production Superintendent and Project Manager.
To be successful in this role you must have:
* Tertiary qualifications in mining engineering or a related discipline.
* 8 - 10+ years experience in open cut mining in a technical role.
* The ability to manage a team of professionals including mentoring junior staff.
* The ability to build and maintain a positive team culture.
The successful candidate will be provided an excellent salary package commiserate of your skills and experience including company vehicle and bonus. The location allows you to be based in a major centre that has excellent access to the coastline.
